Julia St. Morgan grew up and studied art in Northern California. She vacationed in Santa Barbara nine years ago and was so overtaken with the beauty and energy of the locale that she relocated six months later to the area. Julia works with oils and watercolors. Favorite subject matters include florals and images that are evoked in her mind’s eye from reading spiritual texts.

Martine Dupuch was born and raised in France in a very small village in the foothills of the Pyrenees Mountains and as long as I can remember I always was enthused by all the forms life could take and I spent many hours admiring and appreciating the beauty Nature shares with us through her tremendous diversity
Meeting with Silk was a revelation. Silk is a very alive, versatile and flowing medium that challenges the painter’s very desire for controlling. Painting with dyes adds to the creativity of the Silk itself for as soon as the brush touches the Silk the dyes spread right into the lightness of the fabric, having a life of their own. Painting on Silk taught me to get out of the way and simply enjoy the pure, joyful act of creation, diving into the very present moment like in a deep meditation.
Whether my paintings are described as “bold in design, vibrant in colors, playful and whimsical or expressing the delicate lightness of spirituality”, they all come from the same source which we all share and that I refer to as the Essence of Life.

Born in 1958 near Mexico City, Seco came from a family of teachers, and he grew up cultivating a deep passion for the classics in literature and music. At age 20, in spite of his successful initiation as one of Mexico's promising young writers, Seco did not really find himself until he started drawing. After three years of drawing devotedly, he painted his first canvases and found the real vocation of his life.
In 1996 he left his native Mexico, came to the United States, and his recognition as a painter of classical musicians emerged. As guest of both the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the New West Symphony, Seco sketches the orchestras in pursuit of the challenge of life-drawing the musician. His subsequent paintings, based on these sketches, engage the viewer with bold composition and fearless technique. Seco's gestural brush stroke captures all the movement and energy of his subject, revealing the artist's deep knowledge of the human form and his sensitivity to all the dynamic that it contains.
Exploring Iconography with Estebán

On display are works by Ventura based artist Steven George Stockdill (Estebán). Born in Albuquerque, NM, and self-trained, Estebán has developed his own distinctive style that captivates viewers with its unrehearsed, whimsical qualities.
Whether it is Estebán’s idiosyncratic fascination with the old and modern masters, or his portrayal of political figures and famous musicians, his paintings, watercolors, and cardboard sculptures seem to hover between forthright admiration, unintentional joke, and sassy commentary – such as in the slight-handedly executed portrait of a “too tanned” J. F. Kennedy.
Finding the essence in Estebán’s creations is left to the predispositions and inclinations of the audience – sometimes needing several takes to climb the nuanced levels of meaning offered by the artist– or simply coming away with a smile.

Watercolors by Steve Hoegerman. Steve is the creator of the French Festival and a passionate traveler. His watercolors capture the essence of remote villages in the South of France, Italy…and Santa Barbara, too. “His Lovely images reflect his travels,” says the Independent.
Ruth Hildegard Henrich, born and raised in Germany, lives and paints in California and Southern France. Gifted with exceptional talents by her grand parents and father, she paints since the age of six. At age 15 she was offered scholarship to study art at University of Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Each image was received in a vision (channeling session).
Aromatherapy essences and oils are used in the colors, blends and mixtures. Mixed media art includes sand crystals from the beaches of Carmel and Pebble Beach, CA, ground minerals / gem stones from sacred sites in Europe.
All artwork receives an energetic Reiki treatment, which locks into each piece. The viewer benefits from the energies attached to the artwork.
